GO BACK

Sunday September 11th 1994 .
Kornet Al Souda (the Black Corner) ,  3080m the highest peak in the middle east.
2 Land rover were present to this expedition
Patrick Farra  (the red defender)
John Gibran (the blue defender)

3 hours trip till we reach the top.
A nice little break to give time for Alain to drink his coffee.
One hour of climbing at 6 o'clock in the morning.
Not the machines, not even the human like it.
At last we're there.
To be honest, we have never seen the snow in September before.
makes us wonder from which year is this all year round snow left from !
A howling wind is outside the cars.
more than 90Km/h according to Patrick.
Then Nour discovers an ice-cave in the snow.
John decides to go in......   Not on foot of course.
Patrick thinks about the danger envolved but then follows in.
25m deep and that's it.
The beautifully shaped rainy cave is closed here.
We play around a little and then start heading down.
